Here Are The Best Bars To Try This Winter Especially For Those Feeling The Chill

If you’re looking for some of the best bars to head to as the weather continues to get icier, we’ve listed some essential venues to dine in this winter. 

As Melbourne is no stranger to the cold, finding some great venues to rug up in while you kick back and drink a vino or several is key. Each of these bars offers excellent service, a colourful atmosphere and some incredible winter packages to help you tackle the chill.

Fargo and Co

This 1900s trendy style bar that sits along Swan St is an absolute must with their new & exclusive Apres Ski lodges on the rooftop, which you can book now until September.

Decorated in the finest ski apparel to get you in the wintery mood, these cabins are extremely cosy and offer luxurious packages to enjoy. 

If you want to keep it simple with a small group, definitely opt for the Basic B**ch ($79 per head), or if you want to be a bit fancier, select the Boss B**ch ($99 per head) package. These packages are for 4-8 people and come with delicious rich hot chocolate and a variety of delectable amuse-bouche, including calamari, ceviche, hot chips, and arancini balls. Grey goose vodka, mixers and a pink chocolate fondue fountain are also included.

The Boss B**ch also offers a bottle of Veuve Clicquot and a self-service cocktail fountain if you're feeling extra boujee.

Harlow

Around the corner from Fargo and Co, we have another best bar contender offering top-notch winter activations all season long. Head to the website to book Harlow’s Disco Drag Bottomless, as it provides one of the best rooftops, enclosed with a decadent marquee and heaters. A perfect way to keep warm through winter.

This bottomless package includes two hours of free-flowing Bacardi cocktails, Moondog fizzers, house wine, sparkling and beer. Plus, a delicious lunch menu while their FAB Queen hosts and spins some tunes, only costing $69 per person.

Harlow’s Disco Drag Bottomless is available on Saturdays from 11.30 am -1.30 pm and 2-4 pm and Sundays from 12-2 pm. With mouthwatering food and quality entertainment, you can’t go wrong!

Newmarket Hotel St Kilda has transformed its beer garden into the perfect winter wonderland escape. The beer garden is decked out with fairy lights and heaters to keep you warm and toasty.

Every Friday night until September from 7.30-9.30 pm, Newmarket Hotel will be offering a Bottomless Supper under the stars. This winter activation includes two hours of unlimited beverages such as espresso martinis, sparkling, house wine and beer. Topped off with grazing boards, share plates and live acoustic tunes - this is a great place in St Kilda to head to after work wraps up on a Friday! 

The Bottomless Supper is only $60 per person, the perfect way to treat yourself during the frosty months.
