Woolworths Mud Cakes are right up there with the best when it comes to Aussie culinary delights.

They're an evergreen birthday favourite and they never disappoint.

But if you've ever wanted to see how these bad boys get created, then boy - do we have an exciting video to show you.

Karen Blanche has uploaded a clip to her TikTok account that has gone absolutely viral.

It shows the Woolworths worker nonchalantly squeezing the white icing all over the Mud Cakes in a manner that might seem familiar to fans of viral chef sensation Salt Bae.

It's nice to see there's a human touch to the display of the cake and there isn't a relaxed, chilled and methodical method to the madness - in fact, it appears to be nothing more complex than 'point and shoot'.

Karen's video has been viewed more than 3.2 million times, receiving more than half a million likes and nearly 15,000 comments at the time of writing.

Aussies were absolutely blown away by the behind-the-scenes look at the heavenly creation being brought to life.

One person said: "And they say we don't have footage of Jesus."

Another added: "Teach me your ways."

A third wrote: "Top 10 things that weren't supposed to be showed by Area 51."

It's true that this is an epic and previously unseen aspect to how these Mud Cakes end up on our Woolies shelves.

We have to thank Karen for blessing us with the incredible footage.
