Truth behind disturbing ‘death is irreversible’ whisper heard at the Queen’s funeral

One moment from the ITV coverage of Queen Elizabeth II's funeral sent chills down people's spines

Queen Elizabeth II was the longest ever serving British monarch, and her funeral was one of the most-watched events of 2022.

However, one aspect of the ITV broadcast went viral at the time after something quite chilling was heard in the background.

You can hear the broadcast snippet here:

It has since become a mystery that has long been the subject of conspiracy theories, but it looks like it may finally have a definitive explanation.

In the clip, a female voice talks in hushed tones about an 'irreversible' death (instead of all those reversible deaths you hear about).

It aired on the ITV news channel as the late Queen Elizabeth II's coffin made its way from Westminster Abbey to St George's Chapel in Windsor.

The footage was initially silent, but was shortly followed by a quiet voice whispering: "That death is irreversible and the fact that she's..."

This was then followed by a male presenter cutting in.

The male presenter then said: "As you can see here in London it is a lovely day and as a hearse heads out into West London..."

Online detectives think that the final word said by the woman was 'travelling' or 'trapped', but it's difficult to say for sure, as there was also a slight ringing noise that could be heard in the clip while she was talking.

Now, prepare to have your questions answered as it is widely believed that the voice in the viral clip, that accumulated over 1.5 million views on X, formerly Twitter, was the guest of a presenter.

Apparently, the guest's words were not meant to be picked up by the microphone, according to The National - ITV has not commented on these claims yet.

The chilling clip has brought on a number of wild and speculative thoughts and theories from social media users, who shared their opinions below the clip.

One user wrote: "Kind of implies that until now they’d been planning to reverse it."

Another commented: "Yeah just rewound that 4 times, what the hell was that?"

A third put: "Nah bc it’s kinda sounded like ‘the death is irreversible and the fact that she’s trapped-"

The Queen passed away aged 96 on 8 September 2022 following over 70 years on the throne, with her funeral on 19 September being watched by over 29 million people after she lay in state in Westminster Hall for four days.

After day-long queues, in which several high-profile Brits and members of the public waited to pay their respects, she was transported to be buried at Windsor Castle's King George VI Memorial Chapel.
