People have slated a man as 'reckless' after he was filmed dragging a pram down a busy road while riding an e-scooter.

With one hand on his e-scooter handlebars and the other clutching the hood of the pram as he drags it alongside him, the man looks to be taking an incredible risk as cars drive right by him on the busy road.

He was spotted on 11 July by student Phyllis Smith, who said she saw him scooting down the A117 in Newham, East London while cars whizzed by.

She said: "I was walking home from work and there was literally a guy on a scooter using his one hand to push the pram. He was just scootering across.

"Anyone in the area would know that road leads to the A13 so it actually leads to a motorway or if you carry on straight, you're in a bus lane.

"In those circumstances, I was so confused as to why he did that. He just carried on down the road."

The man was spotted wheeling a pram along the road while he was riding an e-scooter.

The student said that when she showed the footage to her parents they were just as 'shocked' as she was.

She also shared the video to TikTok, where the footage has split viewers, with some slating the man as 'reckless' for dragging a pram that may contain a baby down a busy road, while others were impressed with the man's ingenuity.

One viewer was convinced 'the mum is at work none the wiser', saying the mother must be 'thinking her precious child is safe with their dad'.

Another concerned viewer commented 'no way there's a baby in that pram', following it up with 'please tell me there isn't'.

Luckily, someone said they also saw the man out and about on his e-scooter and were sure there was no baby in the pram when he was dragging it down a busy road.

Cars brushed close past the man and his pram.

Another person was convinced he'd just bought the pram and was taking it home, using his e-scooter to speed up the journey back home.

Phyllis herself said 'the point isn't the baby, the point is why is he using a pram while riding an electric scooter on a main road'.

Plenty of people were wondering exactly where the man thought he was going considering the road only led to a motorway.

Riding down a busy road on an e-scooter dragging a pram with you is pretty dangerous, doing it on the motorway is a whole other level of life-threatening.

Let's hope he really was just wheeling around his new pram and this was not a dad taking his baby out for some fresh air.
