Man In Relationship With His Car Even Had Sex With It

It's Love Island eve, and while plenty of singles are out there looking for their soulmate, one man's 'soulmate' has got people confused after an episode of My Strange Addiction resurfaced.

Originally airing on TLC in 2012, the episode introduces Nathaniel, from Arkansas, who claims he is in love with Chase, his 1998 Chevy Monte Carlo.

As the episode reveals, the pair go on long journeys together, have a favourite song – and even have sex.

In the episode, Nathaniel talked viewers through his unconventional relationship, which began in 2005.

He explained: "It was love at first sight. His body and his interior and everything just together seemed to fit. I felt an instant connection."

You might be wondering why, or how, a man is in love with his car, but Nathanial didn't really know either.

He said: "I don't know why I feel the way I do, but I just know I absolutely love Chase. We always have a good time together."

And that 'good time' includes being intimate, with Nathaniel revealing: "We have our times where things get sexual. What we do most often is, I like to lean over his fender and across his hood."

He went on to say that he will often 'press up against' and 'rub against' Chase.

"One of his more bold positions is for me to be underneath him. He really likes that. It's really special to make love to Chase," he continued.

Yep, you read that correctly.

For Nathaniel, the interest in automobiles started in his teens but it was pretty self-contained, and didn't extend to a romantic attachment – but that all changed as he got older.

While he had relationships with human girlfriends in the past, he said he was committed to his relationship with Chase and didn't know what he'd do without his four-wheeled partner.

He was also super-protective of Chase, revealing: "It really bothers me when he gets dinged or scratched, if something were to happen to Chase my heart would stop."

Nathaniel was proud of his relationship but opted not to tell people over fears that he might be stigmatised for his attraction: "I guess the reason I don't tell a lot of people is because I don't know the response I'm gonna get."

The car enthusiast added that he was worried people might feel 'disgust' towards his relationship, but said: "If everybody found out I'd be worried that it may affect my job but I love him to death, I wouldn't trade him for the world."
