MONOPOLY at McDonald’s is back, and you can win prizes including €20,000 cash

When you think about it, McDonald’s is a place where many of us have endless memories of coming away with just that little bit extra compared to everyone else. Not only do you leave with the satisfaction of having enjoyed a meal that is consistently delicious the world over, but the little toys that come with Happy Meals were a source of endless joy.

McDonald’s Ireland is giving you the opportunity to recreate that feeling, only in an infinitely better way. The MONOPOLY game at McDonald’s is coming back, and it’s even bigger and better than ever before.

The basics of it are the same in that you just need to keep an eye out for a special MONOPOLY sticker on your McDonald’s food and drink, but they have really upped the ante this year. There are thousands of prizes on offer, ranging from cold, hard cash to the latest tech gadgets and holiday vouchers. This year, the top cash prize is set at a record €20,000.

There is a brand new way of playing MONOPOLY at McDonald’s this year, and the rules are pretty simple. By calling into your local restaurant and purchasing certain items off the menu in store or via the Drive Thru, you are putting yourself in with a chance of winning some phenomenal prizes. All you need to do is PEEL on pack, then PLAY in app for the chance to win instant-win or collect-to-win prizes corresponding to properties from the MONOPOLY game.

• Cash prizes of €20,000 and €1,000, plus €200 for Passing Go!

That’s just a taste though, as there will be plenty more up for grabs!

All you’ve got to do to be in with a chance of winning is buy one of the eligible items off the menu that are included in the MONOPOLY promotion at McDonald’s. On each of these items you will find a special MONOPOLY game sticker on the packaging, and simply peel the outer layer to reveal a unique code.

After this, the code can be entered into the McDonald’s app. You’ll then be asked a skill question to reveal instant-win or collect-to-win properties, similar to how the classic board game works.

You can then track your progress and redeem prizes all via the McDonald’s app, and it really is just as easy as that!
