Chilling footage shows a man giving an interview about the body of his own mother being found at a creek, before he was sent to jail for killing her. Watch below:

In 2018, Pennsylvanian man Matthew Haverly explained to an interviewer that he had 'no clue' what was going on as police attended the scene where a woman's body was found.

The now-convicted killer speculated on who might have committed the crime. Later that day, law enforcement officers would arrest and later convict Haverly of the killing.

Throughout the chilling video, Haverly questioned what might have happened, giving the impression he was clueless to the crime that had been committed.

He said: "I was like, what the hell is going on.

"I think it was kind of a hit, and something happened."

"Sad to say that's someone's either daughter, mother, whatever," Haverly said of the body discovered.

Investigators at the scene discovered later that day that the woman in the creek was Patricia Haverly, 60, his own mother.

The medical examiner ruled that her death was caused by head trauma. Another forensic pathologist found that the cause of death was inconclusive, but did not rule out head trauma, Penn Live reports.

However, during his interview with News Watch 16, Haverly suggested that the victim might be someone from out of town.

He said: "I think it was some kind of a hit, and something happened. Something went bad, and this is like a rural area, so they just wanted to plant the body somewhere else besides wherever the hell they were from.

"It would be like a place where people from the city would want to put a body because most likely it wouldn't be found."

According to reports, Haverly lived across the street from where the body was found.

He continued to maintain that he thought the crime was mob-related, and even suggested what his mother might think of the crime.

He said: "I’m guessing, like, my mother, she would be concerned, and probably a lot of neighbours would be concerned."

According to the Star Gazette, no weapon was used in the crime, but police did find a pair of brass knuckles in Harverly's bedroom. Patricia Haverly's body was found in the creek, wrapped in large black tarp.

Haverly was arrested in 2018 and in September 2021 pleaded no contest to involuntary manslaughter. He claimed he was drunk at the time and had no clear recollection of the killing.

He is currently serving a prison sentence of between three and a half and 14 years.

Along with the sentence, Haverly also had to pay fines and court costs.
