If you thought 2020 wasn't bonkers enough already, it looks as though trap hero Lil Nas X could be about to collaborate with one of Australia's best-loved institutions: The Wiggles.

The rapper was one of the biggest breakout stars of the music industry in 2019. If his name doesn't ring a bell, you'll almost certainly have heard his smash hit 'Old Town Road' - and if you haven't, where is the rock you've been hiding under?

The song, recorded in collaboration with veteran country singer Billy Ray Cyrus (yep, Miley's dad), launched Lil Nas X into the pop stratosphere, earning him loads of awards and millions of fans.

Now it looks like he's keen to keep that momentum going into 2020 by enlisting the help of The Wiggles - another old school sensation to keep the fans flooding through.

Lil Nas X posted a tweet suggesting he wanted to get the original fab four in the studio to remix his new song 'Rodeo'.

People on social media were blown away by the possible collaboration, with one person tweeting: "Please don't let this be a joke man. I want this so bad rn."

Another added: "Now I really wanna hear Lil Nas singing 'fruit salad'."

It will be interesting to see whether the rapper wants to enlist the current lineup of The Wiggles, or reunite the old school gang once more. It might be tougher to recruit the OG lineup, though, considering what happened when they performed together last month.

Anthony Field, Murray Cook, Greg Page, and Jeff Fat did a nostalgic set in Sydney for a bushfire appeal fundraiser. Everything was going smoothly until yellow Wiggle Greg Page suffered a cardiac arrest on stage.

Thankfully for 48-year-old Greg, there was an off-duty nurse in the crowd who performed CPR on him until he could be transported to hospital.

He was discharged on 22 January and the band released a statement, thanking everyone for their messages of love.

"Thank you all for your questions and concerns about Greg. We are happy to let you know that he has been discharged from hospital today and will now begin a journey of rest and recovery at home," the statement read.

"Your thoughts and prayers for Greg have meant the world to him and his family, but moving forward, they ask for some privacy so Greg can focus on his recovery. Out of respect for Greg and his wishes, we won't be sharing any more updates."

Maybe recording with Lil Nas X could be the best thing for Greg, as well as Murray, Anthony and Jeff.
