Nelly Apologises After Accidentally Sharing Oral Sex Video On Instagram

He's said the clip is 'old and private' and was never meant to be shared

Rapper Nelly has apologised after he accidentally shared a clip purportedly showing him receiving oral sex on Instagram.

The clip, which was shared on his Instagram Stories yesterday (9 February), was quickly deleted with Nelly saying it was ‘old and private’ and never supposed to be shared with the public.

In the video, an unknown woman can be seen participating in oral sex with the rapper - although his face didn’t appear in the clip.

Speaking to TMZ, he said: "I sincerely apologise to the young lady and her family, this is unwanted publicity for her/them.

"This was an old video that was private and never meant to go public."

Despite his best efforts to get rid of the clip, Nelly, whose real name is Cornell Iral Haynes Jr, wasn’t fast enough for several fans who had already seen it and took to Twitter to share their shock.

One wrote: "Oh snap! It looks like Nelly accidentally posted a little video to his Instagram Stories..."

While another wrote: “I did not need to see that video.”

A third person commented: "Just saw that Nelly video and now I wish I un-saw it."

However, journalist Marielle Songy urged people not to share the clip online.

She wrote: “Reminder that the woman in the Nelly video didn't give consent for the video to be shared, so maybe don't share it.”

As yet, it’s not clear if the video ended up being shared through human error or a hack, but Nelly’s representatives did tell TMZ they’re currently 'investigating a breach’ and have concerns more of his private content could have been accessed.

Late last month, the rapper hit headlines after he took a swipe at Madonna for revealing too much online.

Madonna, 63, shared a slew of racy images on her Instagram account, including one in which she wore a pair of fishnets tights with her bum on display.

Responding to the snaps, Nelly wrote: “Some things should just be left covered up.”

Some followers agreed with Nelly, 47, while others pointed out it was her page and she was free to choose how little, or much, of herself she wanted to show.

And fellow rapper Ja Rule seemed to be impressed with what he saw, commenting: "How can you not love Madonna lol."
