New I’m A Celebrity Spin-Off Show Is In The Works

New I’m A Celebrity Spin-Off Show Is In The Works

The spin-off won't have any sort of public vote as in other series.

Fans get ready as a new version of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! is currently in the works.

The stand-alone series will be filmed in South Africa, with reports suggesting it will run alongside the usual annual programme.

While the normal show is returning to the Australian jungle, a slightly different, yet exciting, format is said to be on the cards.

Most importantly, Ant and Dec are both signed up to host the new show.

A source told LADbible: "The team behind I'm A Celebrity are making a brand new spin off of the hit series, this time set in South Africa.

"It will be hosted by Ant & Dec and will feature the most loved, favourite camp mates from previous years.

"The show is still very much based in the world of IAC - the camp mates will be doing trials and living in the camp environment, but with fresh and exciting new twists on the format.

"The camp mates will have a hand in their own destiny through a series of internal votes and challenges.

"This new edition is likely to air in 2023 but before that viewers will get to enjoy the show's much anticipated return to Australia in November.

"The final of the most recent I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here! was watched by a TV peak audience of 7.1million viewers, and was the most watched programme of the night for 16-34s with a massive 60% share of 16-34 year old viewing."

The new spin-off will be a slightly shorter format of two weeks as opposed to the usual three.

Well, the usual format of the show will be returning to Australia this year and contestants will no doubt prefer the warmer weather.

Ant and Dec themselves have previously expressed their hopes to return to Australia, saying on The One Show earlier this year that the jungle was 'the plan' for the upcoming series.

Ant stressed the pair had 'nothing against Wales'.

Dec said: "We love Wales but you know, Australia is its home and we’d like to get back there if we can."

During the last series, contestant Richard Madeley was forced to pull out of the show after having to visit the hospital mid-way through.

He had broken the bubble by having contact with people outside the camp.

As usual, we are sure that Ant and Dec will guarantee the show returns to Australia with a bang.
