Father In India Filmed Kissing His Newborn Before Abandoning It

This is a tough watch. A father has been caught on CCTV kissing his newborn baby goodbye before leaving it in a church.

It's believed the couple decided to abandon their child because of the social stigma that comes from having four kids, the newspaper adds.

In the footage, the man is seen walking through the building, checking to see no one's watching. He then kisses the baby on the forehead, before placing it gently on the floor.

He looks back at the baby, who's wrapped tightly in a pink blanket, before walking off.

The parents are 32-year-old Bitto and 28-year-old Prabitha, who live in Kerala in India.
