Brazilian news website G1 reports that the incident happened on the afternoon of Tuesday 15 October in the town of Amarante, which is 160km from Teresina.
The exchange was filmed by the pharmacy's security cameras, which show one employee was in the store at the time, along with an elderly woman.
Two armed men then arrived at the scene at around 5pm, telling the worker to hand over the shop's money.
The woman apparently also offered up her own cash, but one of the robbers simply kissed her on the head, telling her: "I don't want your money."
Business owner Samuel Almeida explained that his employee had been forced to surrender the money - which amounted to around $1,000.
They also took some goods from the store, although the value of those has not yet been accounted for.
Almedia told G1: "[The robbers] announced the theft, asked my employee to pass all the money, so [the woman] was close and wanted to give her money too, but he said he didn't have to.
"He kissed her and said, 'No, ma'am, you can be quiet, I don't want your money.'"
Almeida said military police were called in and searched the area. However no one has yet been identified in relation to the crime.
The business owner told G1 he will still go to the Civil Police for a police report, adding: "Of the smallest evils, at least they didn't take anyone's life, but I'll look for other cameras in the area and make a BO so they can be arrested and no one else is their victim."
While I'm sure the robber's kind act towards the older woman was slightly surreal, at least it wasn't as bizarre as what went down in this recent robbery - which saw a bloke allegedly trying to hold up an Esso garage while wearing a pillowcase on his head.
Are you able to identify this man?
Officers would like to speak to him in connection with an incident of robbery.

According to Thames Valley Police, he targeted the petrol station in Bodicote, north Oxfordshire, on Tuesday 20 August at around 1am.
In an appeal on social media, police asked if anyone was able to identify the man, but given that he's wearing a pillowcase with two eye holes cut out, that might be slightly tricky.
