A boy aged just 12 has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a man died from injuries to his abdomen and head outside McDonald's on Warrington Street in Ashton-under-Lyne just before 11pm on Wednesday evening. The boy was arrested this morning along with a 17-year-old and they both remain in custody.
Two 16-year-olds were also arrested on Saturday evening in connection with the murder.
A man in his 40s was taken to hospital early Thursday morning but ultimately died from his injuries.
Police are asking for witnesses. Detective Inspector Kevin O Regan said: "Our investigation continues and I would urge anybody with information to please contact police, no matter how insignificant you think it may be."
