A loving boyfriend supported his partner from a safe distance after she tested positive for coronavirus, sitting outside her window each day until she recovered.

Camila Baldasso, 17, was asymptomatic when she tested positive for the virus, having been on speakerphone with boyfriend Collin Ouellette, 19, when she found out.

Collin had been tested at the same time but his results were negative, meaning the couple knew they'd have to stay apart - and were absolutely devastated.

But Collin was determined not to leave Camila on her own, and vowed that he'd be there for her while she get better.

"He was sad that we wouldn't be able to see each other, but told me he'd be there for me the whole time," Camila said.

Devoted Collin never broke his promise, sitting outside Camila's Texas home each and every day for an hour or two while she quarantined in her bedroom - chatting to her or bringing puzzles and food to keep her entertained.

She continued: "We would eat dinner together when he would sit outside some nights and most of the time we would just talk.

"He would tell me about his day - one night we looked up questions to ask your partner and we each answered about 100 questions.

"I felt bad at times because he would be sitting in some slight rain or getting eaten alive by mosquitos, but he would say it was worth it."

Camila said her time in isolation was hard and emotional, but Collin's little visits helped keep their communication constant.

Like many others around the globe, the couple also stayed in touch virtually with regular FaceTime calls and Netflix Party sessions.

They would even have meals together, with Collin tucking into a bowl of food from his chair beneath her window, even when it started to get dark.

Eventually, after 10 days of recovery, Camila tested negative for the virus and called Collin to let him know.

Overjoyed with the news, Collin came over to see her that same day for an emotional reunion, finally able to spend some quality time together again.

"When he pulled into the driveway, the first thing I did was give him the biggest hug on Earth!" Camila added.

"Then we went inside, talked to my family, and ate some food together."
