Worry no more as Chanel The African Grey Parrot has been found again and her owner Sandra has shared the good news on This Morning.

After going missing for more than three days, Sandra revealed her pet was found just a mile away from the house.

She explained how her daughter had answered the phone, reluctantly due to the number of prank calls received, and someone had found the missing parrot and locked her in the house so she couldn't escape.

The parrot rescuer was named, Laura, and shouted :"CHANEEELLLL," after seeing the bird near her home.

Sandra's daughter picked up the parrot from Laura and surprised her mother.

"I finally got some sleep after three days worrying, it was 10 o'clock at night, my bedroom door burst open and my daughter put all the lights on," she said.

"I was like wow what...and Chanel was on my daughter's arm and I was like 'is he real, is that actually her' and she flew to me and I just snuggled her."

Sandra said she is going to have Chanel's wings clipped to stop her flying away again to avoid further heartbreak.

Twitter users were quick to comment, as some were relieved that the missing parrot had been found.

One user said: "Omg Chanel the parrot is safe and well. Thank god."

Another added: "Tv Gold with that interview with Chanel the parrot Parrot brilliant!!!! How did they keep a straight face !!! Brilliant."

Sandra's video of her missing parrot went viral last year after live-streaming her hunt for the missing pet, who had escaped from her cage and flown off into the distance.

Talking about the bird's original escape, Sandra told the Daily Mail: "We were sitting in the garden, all the doors were locked in the cage but her water bowl gate was open."

"My neighbour started a drill going and she just bolted out the water bowl gate. And I just thought: what should I do? I thought I would share it on Facebook Live."

She told Tyla: "I'm still recognised as the crazy parrot lady."

"Even this morning I was walking around and someone was like - 'You're the Chanel parrot lady'."

"My kids won't even go out with me! They're like 'Mum, everyone's shouting Chanel at you."
