Dad And Toddler Whose Conversation Went Viral Are Starring In Denny's Advert

Their success if everyone's success

You remember a couple of weeks ago, that video of a father and son having a proper grown up chat about a TV show?

If you haven't seen it, give it a watch below - it's better than I've made it sound. If you have seen it, then you'll already know it's great and you'll be delighted that the pair have managed to land themselves a gig off the back of it.

US diner chain, Denny's, tracked down the father and son combo of the hour and recruited them for a Father's Day advert, which was a clever marketing move on their part too.

In the advert, Detzin (the dad), and his 19-month-old son, Kingston, sit in one of the restaurant's booths and talk about what is going on in the baby's life, while occasionally sharing bits of bacon.

The advert closes with Detzin giving his little man a big cuddle as the message 'Booths were made for quality time with dad' fades into view.

It's great stuff, and presumably everyone has benefited from the partnership; here's hoping they paid Detzin and Kingston with a lot more than just a few bits of bacon.

The original video of the pair has now been viewed almost 59,000,000 times on Facebook, which is presumably not what Shanieke Pryor - who lives in Clarksville, Tennessee, expected when she started recording her other half.

She captioned the video: "Only this child!! Having a full-fledged conversation with Daddy and Daddy is just as bad."

It's both funny and endearing, as the baby is of course speaking typical baby gibberish, but the dad is responding to him as though he understands every word he is saying. Little Kingston's grown up expressions and gestures also add to the whole thing perfectly, and it almost seems like he thinks his dad actually understands him.

The conversation is rounded off nicely, with Detzin concluding: "We think a lot alike."

Unsurprisingly, the C word was being bandied about left, right and centre in the comments.

One person wrote: "This is too cute! Love the fact that [they are] spending quality time together!"

Someone else said: "Cutest thing ever! I love this!"

A third agreed: "Love this. Soooo cute."

Even bloody Captain America got involved.

... And if you're reading this wondering when the hell Father's Day is, it was last Sunday.

You've messed up.
