A death row prisoner is absolutely terrified of dying in the electric chair, comparing his impending death to being 'fried like a piece of bacon'.
Brad Sigmon, 63, is on death row in South Carolina for brutally murdering the parents of his ex-girlfriend with a baseball bat.
But anti-death penalty campaigner Alli Sullivan has told the Mirror that Sigmon can't stop thinking about the 'horror' of his planned execution.
She also said the South Carolina Department of Corrections has denied Sigmon his last meal request of a shot of whisky and two cigarettes.

Sullivan, an intern at Death Penalty Action, told the Mirror: "The question came about his last meal. He said, 'a shot of whisky and two Newport cigarettes' ... and they said, 'you know you can't have that, what do you really want?'
"He said he didn't want anything for his last meal, that he would spend his last day praying and fasting."
Sigmon was due to be put to death in the electric chair on Friday, but the Supreme Court gave him a last-minute reprieve.
"He was super fearful of the fact it would be an electrocution," Sullivan added.

"He made a comment like, 'I can't get the horror of my mind that the state is getting ready to fry me like a piece of bacon'."
The 19-year-old had been in daily contact with Sigmon in the run-up to his planned execution - she speaks to around 20 death row prisoners in total.
She added: "I wanted to reach and out say, 'I know you're there because you did something, but I don't believe they deserve to take your life'.
Sigmon was given the death penalty in 2002 for the murders of 62-year-old David and Gladys Larke, 59.

Sigmon beat the couple to death with a baseball bat after their daughter ended her relationship with him.
He then kidnapped and shot Rebecca, who miraculously survived.
Sigmon went on the run and was apprehended days later in Tennessee.
Sullivan says Sigmon feels guilt over his crimes and is 'sorry'.

According to Sullivan, he said: "I don't want to excuse my behaviour because there's no excuse."
South Carolina has been unable to obtain the drugs used for lethal injection so the laws have been amended to revert back to the electric chair with the firing squad as an alternative.
