Incredible footage has been released showing Cleo Smith just moments after she was rescued by police. Watch below:

The four-year-old girl was reported missing 18 days ago after disappearing from her parents' campsite at the Quobba Blowholes campground, Macleod.

After receiving a few tip-offs, cops were eventually able to track her down, and found her locked inside a property around 70 kilometres away in Tonkin Crescent, Carnarvon.

Western Australia's police force has now shared a brief clip from the rescue mission, with Cleo seen being carried outside by an officer.

In the footage, the lead detective on the case, Cameron Blaine asks if Cleo is ok and tells her that they are going to take her back to her mum and dad.

Speaking later on, Det Senior Sergeant Blaine said: "It could have been anyone of the team ... it just turned out that I was of four guys that was fortunate enough to go through that door and make that rescue.

"To see her sitting there, it was incredible.

"I asked her what her name was. One of the guys jumped in in front of me and picked her up and I just wanted to be absolutely sure... it certainly looked like Cleo."

He then recalled that he asked her what her name was three times.

"She looked at me and said: 'My name is Cleo' and that was it," explained Det Blaine.

He added: "We called her parents and said, 'We've got someone here that wants to speak with you'.

"It was just an incredible feeling to be able to make that call."

Cleo's mum Ellie Smith said she was over the moon to finally have her little girl back in her arms.

Taking to Instagram, she wrote: "Our family is whole again."

WA Police Deputy Commissioner Col Blanch revealed the good news earlier today (3 November) that Cleo had been found.

"It's my privilege to announce that in the early hours of this morning, the Western Australia Police Force rescued Cleo Smith. Cleo is alive and well," Deputy Commissioner Blanch aid.

"A police team broke their way into a locked house in Carnarvon about 1am. They found little Cleo in one of the rooms.

"One of the officers picked her up into his arms and asked her 'what's your name?' She said - 'My name is Cleo'.

"Cleo was reunited with her parents a short time later."

According to reports, a 36-year-old man was in custody and was said to be 'assisting police' with their inquiries.
