A French YouTuber was 'disappointed' by the proposed 'Storm Area 51' event and says that people 'chickened out'.

The social media star, who goes by the name Cemcem, flew all the way from France for the long-awaited raid, believing he was going to find some answers, but in the end was let down because no one turned up.

Speaking to LADbible, the 23-year-old said he thought at least a few people would actually have wanted to find out what the US military is hiding in its top secret base.

But when it came to it, there were hardly enough people to 'cover the road'.

He said: "I flew over to Las Vegas in order to go to Area 51 because I really thought something was going to happen."

"I really thought, among all the people there, they would be a few that would actually plan on penetrating the zone.

The Frenchman hoped to find out what was being kept in Area 51.

"So I came prepared, I got to Vegas a couple of days before the raid, hoping to see people camping there but no one was there."

He added: "I just wanted to go see what was going on. I really took that Facebook thing seriously."

The Frenchman documented his entire journey, posting videos and pictures to his Instagram and YouTube accounts.

And while Cem didn't think the two million people who signed up to the viral Facebook page would actually descend on the military base, he hoped that more would have made the journey.

The vlogger said: "I just feel like it's sad for the people that actually came and that actually meant to do something. Maybe not all of them wanted to infiltrate the zone, but I'm positive it must've crossed everyone's mind at some point."

Cem says he was upset that more people didn't turn up to the event.

So what was Cem hoping to find if they had really managed to infiltrate Area 51?

"I mean, I don't know," he said. "No one knows what the f*** is going on behind those fences. A part of me wants to believe that it's just a scam but another part of me really believes that they got something over there.

"I really think they're hiding some crazy ass s*** in there. If not, why would they even have kept it secret for so many years and why does nobody know about what's inside? If they didn't have anything to hide, why wouldn't they let us know what's in there?

"So I don't know if they're keeping aliens or UFO or any sci-fi s*** in there, but they're definitely guarding stuff they don't want the world to know. That's for sure."

The YouTuber said everyone 'chickened out'.

For now, neither Cem nor any of the others who travelled to the middle of the desert are any the wiser as to what is being kept behind the fences and the barricades.

But the disappointed Frenchman says if they had actually tried to make their way into the base, no one could have stopped them.

He added: "The military didn't do s*** and there is no way they would have done anything. If we were at least a few thousand, there is no way they could have stopped all of us. And under the circumstances of what's going on in the world right now, there is absolutely no way they would have opened fire.

"But since everybody chickened out, we will never know what might have happen if we actually raided Area 51."
