It's safe to say the UK's small businesses certainly felt the impact of the coronavirus first, especially those in the hospitality sectors that had to shut their doors during lockdown.
Which is why this kind gesture of a punter over in Cardiff was all the more meaningful to the pub landlord at the receiving end.
Chris Rowlands from craft beer bar Bubs was left gobsmacked after a good samaritan decided to tip him £100 ($130) after enjoying just one pint.

The extra payment was so generous, Chris even contacted online payment platform Yoello in order to reach out to the customer and make sure they hadn't made a mistake.
He was amazed when the man responded to say it was fully intentional and he just wanted to 'help the place out' after the pandemic lockdown.
What an absolute legend - especially considering he only paid £4.90 ($6.50) for the actual pint.
Speaking about the incredible gesture, the grateful landlord told Business Live: "I saw that a customer who'd enjoyed a pint with us on a Tuesday evening had tipped £100.

"It was just a £4.90 order so I thought it had to have been a mistake. We spoke to the guys at Yoello who were able to put us in contact with the customer.
"When we spoke to him it turned out that he really did intend to tip that much to help the place out through all the Covid-19 issues.
"I was stunned, it was quite mind-blowing that someone would think of doing that. It's nice to hear there's still some good in the world!"
Sina Yamani, CEO and Founder of Yoello, added: "It was fantastic to hear that one of our clients had received such incredible support from one of his customers.

"The fact that the gentleman added it secretly to his bill while he paid via the platform without mentioning it to any of the staff showed that he clearly just wanted to help out at a time he knows local pubs and restaurants are operating under incredible pressures.
"It brought a smile to all of our faces when Chris shared the news with us."
And so our faith in humanity is restored.
In the UK alone, a recent survey showed that the pandemic is set to cost small business owners £11,799 ($15,692) on average after approximately 67 percent were forced to temporarily close.

Of course, there are plenty of things you can do to support your local organisations and help them to recover.
Okay, so maybe you don't have enough spare cash to tip your local boozer £100, but you can always try using local suppliers, purchasing merch and ordering online.
