Businesses and companies have been generously gifting medical and hospital supplies to hospitals amid the coronavirus pandemic.

But these donations are literally coming from everywhere.

A British medical fetish site has offered its entire stock of scrubs to a hospital in south England to help the facility avoid a shortage.

Writing on Twitter, MedFetUK said the decision to do this was one made in the interests of doctors and nurses on the frontline of the Covid-19 outbreak.

"Today we donated our entire stock of disposable scrubs to an NHS hospital," MetFetUK said.

"It was just a few sets, because we don't carry large stocks, but they were desperate, so we sent them free of charge."

The post went viral on Twitter, attracting more than 26,000 likes and 10,000 retweets.

Loads of people commended the fetish site for pitching in during the coronavirus crisis.

Reacting to the positive messages of support from their followers, MetFetUK said: "We appreciate the amazing response, but we are not heroes and we don't deserve any special kudos.

"We just did the obvious and only right thing to do. The real heroes are the NHS staff at every level who are on the front line of this fight."

MetFetUK is based in Manchester and sells more than 250 medical related items for those who have a particular kink in this environment.

Other organisations have offered up their spare face masks and other equipment in a similar effort to supply hospitals with what they need.

Facebook chief Mark Zuckerberg donated a whopping 720,000 face masks to hospitals in America. The social media company bought the large supply of masks in case large wildfires continued.

Mr Zuckerberg added: "We're also working on sourcing millions of more to donate. I hope you're all staying healthy and safe!"

Apple CEO Tim Cook added: "Our teams at Apple have been working to help source supplies for healthcare providers fighting COVID-19. We're donating millions of masks for health professionals in the US and Europe. To every one of the heroes on the front lines, we thank you."

Loads of manufacturers have also announced plans to make respirators and ventilators to help Covid-19 patients when they experience severe respiratory problems.
