Sex Doll Manufacturer Says People Are Ordering Dolls That Look Like Their Mate's Girlfriends

Doll makers Silicone Sex World have said that more and more people are shunning 'celebrity' dolls and are going for a more 'normal' look when purchasing their sex toys.

"We do get some strange requests for dolls, such as dolls that look like friends' girlfriends."

Yikes.

Another sex doll manufacturer Jade Stanley, who runs Sex Doll Official in the UK, agreed with the sentiments, saying that there's a lot of range in what people go for.

"In terms of customisation, it's anything whatsoever," she explained. "Celebrity, dead spouse or someone you fancy.

"It really does vary - you get people asking for a Kim Kardashian, or a girl next door.

"It's just so different across the board."

The sex toy industry is big business, which is set to be worth a whopping £38 billion by 2020 - of course, not all of this is down to sex dolls, but with the introduction of AI and robotics, the dolls can cost upwards of £10,000 a piece.

With advances in technology and manufacturing methods, companies can make a doll to very specific requirements - meaning punters can choose everything from eye-colour to bust size.

Some companies even allow customers to add on freckles, scars and birthmarks to make them look even more lifelike.

It's fair to say that when we speak about sex dolls, many of us have a set idea of what a 'typical customer' is like - however, the owner of US-based sex doll factory Silicon Wives says that all sorts of people purchase his dolls.

Speaking to LADbible, Bryan said: "Unsurprisingly, the vast majority of our customer base is single men between the ages of 25-55.

"However, we've also been approached by women looking to purchase a sex doll for their husbands. It's a great way to add a third-party in your bedroom without any emotional complications."
