A Plane Carrying Up To 40 Passengers Has 'Crashed' Over Pakistan

A Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) plane carrying up to 47 passengers has 'crashed', according to regional police.

The aircraft was on its way from Chitral heading to Islamabad when it lost signal.

It was initially reported that 37 passengers were on board, but has since been announced that there are between 40 and 47 passengers.

A senior police officer, Laiq Shah, told Reuters that the plane has crashed near the town of Havelian and that rescue teams are on the way to the site.
