This is the shocking moment a police officer body slams a black woman during an arrest.

The video, which has led to an investigation, shows a violent arrest of a black primary school teacher by a white police officer in Austin.

The video actually dates back to June 2015, but it's the latest in a long series of videos from the US, which seems to show brutality from police officers towards black people.

This video shows 26-year-old Breaion King pulled over for speeding. The officer, who has been named as Bryan Richter, leans into the car and makes a grab for King, he then pulls her out of the car and throws her onto the ground. Before telling her she's under arrest, Mashable reports.

While in the back of the police car Officer Patrick Spradlin tells King that black people have violent tendencies and look intimidating. He adds: "That's why a lot of white people are afraid. And I don't blame them." Just to clarify, this is a 26-year-old, female, primary school teacher he's talking to here.

There's been a series of protests in recent weeks following the high-profile killings of several black Americans by police officers. And earlier this week unarmed Charles Kinsey was shot while he was with his autistic patient.
