At the risk of sounding like someone's grandmother, fashion can be really bloody strange sometimes - whether that's odd eyebrow trends, super low-rise undies or dirty-looking sneaks that are selling for over £600.
And it seems people are saying the same about these denim short... pant... knicker things, which are being sold by streetwear retailer Ssense and cost a cool £235.
It's all good, though, as there's free shipping on orders over £200 to the United Kingdom! They're 100 percent cotton, too, so you're basically making your money back by popping them on and feeling all that comfort.
The product description online reads: "Denim brief-style shorts in navy. Fading throughout. Mid-rise. Three-pocket styling. Belt-loops at waistband. Copper-tone hardware. Tonal stitching. 100% cotton. Imported."
But it was when a photo of the strange kecks appeared on Instagram that opinions really started to fly.
Sharing the 'Denim panties' on Instagram, Ssense wrote: "Two words: Denim panties. The SSENSE editors show you five ways to take your Canadian tuxedo to the next level, featuring @yproject_official, @muglerofficial, @junyawatanabeofficial, and more."
Commenting on the Instagram post, one person wrote: "I have feelings about this. Intense. Feelings."
Another person said: "This def ain't it ladies."
Someone else said sarcastically: "Chafing is great."
A fourth added: "Wow these are just horrible."
While another quoted Ariana Grande, writing: "Thank you, next."
In a Twitter post, Ssense also referred to the pants as 'Janties':

But if you're still a bit confused about what the hell's going on, on the Ssense blog, there's also a post entitled 'Denim Five Ways: More Than Just Jeans With Y/Project, Mugler, And Junya Watanabe' which explains more.
It says: "Denim can be cheeky. And eye-catching. These 'brief-style shorts' can be worn under or over pants, meaning they're far more versatile than what you'd traditionally expect from a pair of briefs.
"Underwear that doesn't need to stay 'under there'."
I mean, it doesn't need to, but perhaps it should.
Still not convinced? It's okay, the blog outlines several other denim items you could go for, including an oversized contrast denim jacket, some patchwork jeans and a lovely denim panelled skirt.
Some bold looks, right there.
