Pauline Hanson's One Nation party has been branded a 'hate group' by global think tank

The Australian political party is among the 20 groups listed by the Global Project Against Hate and Extremism.

Pauline Hanson’s One Nation has been listed as a hate group by a global extremism think tank.

According to a report released by the Global Project Against Hate and Extremism (GPAHE), a non for profit organisation devoted to exposing racism and bigotry, they have added One Nation to its registry of 20 Australian hate groups.

According to Crikey, One Nation has been included on the list for 'its anti-immigrant, anti-Muslim, white nationalist and conspiracy ideology'.

The report titled ‘Far-Right Hate and Extremist Groups’, noted that Hanson, who leads the party, made 'disparaging remarks about Indigenous Australians' in a letter published in the Queensland Times.

The letter read: “How can we expect this race to help themselves when governments shower them with money, facilities and opportunities that only these people can obtain no matter how minute the Indigenous blood is that flows through their veins and that is what is causing racism.”

GPAHE's report spoke of Hanson pushing the White Australia policy while claiming that other mainstream political parties are 'out of touch' with what the nation wants.

Hanson famously condemned immigration during her maiden speech to parliament in 1996 when she said: “I believe we are in danger of being swamped by Asians.

"They have their own culture and religion, form ghettos and do not assimilate.”

GPAHE also panned One Nation for spreading misinformation about the Covid-19 vaccine by undermining the efforts of the World Health Organisation.

They added: "The Senators had worked to block efforts on climate change, which PHON [One Nation Party] senators have called a scam and a plot by the UN, and other progressive issues."

LADbible has reached out to One Nation to provide a comment for this story.

Senator Hanson recently received widespread criticism for telling Senator Mehreen Faruqi to ‘p*** off back to Pakistan’.

Pauline’s comments come after Senator Faruqi spoke out about Queen Elizabeth II following her death, noting her regal empire was built on the lives of exploited ‘colonised peoples’.

The NSW Senator wrote on September 9: “Condolences to those who knew the Queen.

“I cannot mourn the leader of a racist empire built on stolen lives, land and wealth of colonised peoples.

“We are reminded of the urgency of Treaty with First Nations, justice & reparations for British colonies & becoming a republic.”

The Australian reported that a few hours later, Senator Hanson expressed her disgust over the senator's commentary on the late monarch by tweeting: “Your attitude appals and disgusts me. When you immigrated to Australia you took every advantage of this country.

“You took citizenship, bought multiple homes, and a job in a parliament. It’s clear you’re not happy, so pack your bags and p*** off back to Pakistan.”
