Donald Trump's voter fraud hotline has been hijacked by prank callers celebrating Joe Biden's victory in the US presidential election.

The phone line was set up by the 74-year-old's campaign team after they filed legal cases in Georgia, Pennsylvania and Michigan over how the votes were counted.

Despite these claims, neither Trump nor his campaign have provided evidence of any wrongdoing during the counting process.

And after the number was shared on social media by the Republican party and others, plenty of people seized the opportunity to have one final dig at the incumbent and inundated his staff with fake calls.

In a video posted to TikTok, one user can be seen calling in to report an incident of voter fraud in Arizona, but when she is asked exactly what happened, it quickly becomes apparent she isn't as sincere as she claims.

Referencing Anderson Cooper's cutting remarks about Trump's efforts to keep hold of the presidency, she says: "Yeah, so there's an obese turtle that has rolled over onto its back."

Another phoned to say: "I was in line to vote, and like, there was this guy there. I don't know that this is considered fraud or anything, but he was there and he challenged me to a fiddle competition.

"He had red skin and horns, and was very adamant about a fiddle competition, otherwise Biden was going to win."

While a third called in claiming they saw someone 'spreading poop all over their ballots'.

And yet another called to report that Rudy Giuliani was in their house 'trying to catch my daughter in a large net'.

You get the gist.

But it's not just the phone line that has been targeted, the GOP's plea on Twitter also received a bit of a hammering.

Replying to the post urging citizens to call in and report incidents of fraud, one user said: "I reported a mad man on Twitter that is demanding we stop counting the votes, and is threatening lawsuits if we don't."

To which another responded: "That's just their crazy unemployed uncle. Hopefully he's starting to pack up his gold tone s*** so he's ready when he gets his 30 day eviction notice."

Trump's son Eric has hit back at the jokers, claiming it's part of the Democratic party's plan to get his dad out of the White House.

In a tweet, he said: "The @DNC is spamming our voter fraud hotline to bog down the thousands of complaints we are receiving! Wonder what they have to hide."
