Outrage as Nigel Farage is announced in I'm A Celeb 2023 line-up

Outrage as Nigel Farage is announced in I'm A Celeb 2023 line-up

The former Brexit Party Leader will be thrown into the camp at the end of the month, according to The Sun

After what feels like months of waiting, the I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! line-up has been announced.

But not everyone is particularly thrilled about this year's hoard of big name celebrities, after another controversial politician has joined the party.

Among the plethora of TV stars, soap actors, sportsmen, chefs and well, Britney Spears' sister, is former Leader of the UK Independence Party, Nigel Farage.

So it's no wonder that hundreds of X users have already hit out over the fact he's been included in the line-up.

Taking to the social media app, formerly known as Twitter, one fan of the long-standing show hit out: "Why in god's f*****g name is Nigel farage going in? I'm tired of these politicians attempting their redemption arcs ..".

Another wrote of Farage's upcoming sportsman co-star Tony Bellew: "I’ve just seen the I’m a celeb line up, shall we start a crowdfunded for Bellew to punch Farage?"

A third added: "ITV is a disgrace if they platform Farage the way they did Hancock last year."

Others have since predicted that Farage might be destined to follow in the footsteps of last year's political addition, Matt Hancock, who was voted for countless dreaded bushtucker trials following his controversial means of handling the Covid-19 pandemic.

"Aw Marvin [Humes] is absolutely off the hook, Nigel Farage is getting every single one of my trial votes," one fan of the show tweeted.

Another seconded the motion, while lumping Britney's sister Jamie Lynn Spears into the equation: "the most chaotic line up we’ve had in years - we better be voting Jamie-Lynn and Nigel Farage for every bush-tucker trial though or I’m out".

"Farage? Get voting for those trials!!" encouraged a third viewer.

The hit ITV show is coming pretty soon as the new series will debut on 19 November, otherwise known as a week on Sunday.

This year's line-up - revealed by The Sun - also features Fred Sirieix, Frankie Dettori, Nella Rose, Josie Gibson, Nick Pickard, Danielle Harold, Sam Thompson, Marvin Humes and Grace Dent heading into the jungle.

That's a pretty strong line-up compared to some past years, with plenty of campmates to be voted into humiliating bush tucker trials where they can win nicer meals and prizes for the rest of the group.

The likes of champion boxer Bellew and Jamie-Lynn will be donning the shirts with their names and numbers on the back to be told by Ant and Dec 'it might be you' going up for the latest disgusting trial.

Joining them are beloved TV personalities like Fred Sirieix from First Dates and EastEnders star Danielle Harold, who bowed out of the soap to much fanfare after a heartbreaking storyline.

Former Made In Chelsea star Sam Thompson will be hoping his reality TV show charm still applies when you've got scorpions crawling all over your face and JLS performer Marvin Humes brings a bit of a showman's knack to the line-up.
