Prince Andrew is unable to prove he was 'unable to sweat', his representatives have said.

Virginia Giuffre had requested that he provide medical documentation to prove that he was unable to sweat as part of her suit against him, as per The Times.

The 38-year-old claims that Prince Andrew sexually assaulted her when she was a teenager and recently filed a civil case against him in a New York court.

It's alleged that the first incident of abuse took place at the London home of Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell in 2001.

Two other assaults, Ms Giuffre claims, took place at Epstein’s Manhattan townhome and his Little St James estate in the US Virgin Islands.

However, Prince Andrew, 61, has strongly denied the allegations.

The allegations came up during his infamous interview with Emily Maitlis on Newsnight back in 2019.

The royal claimed that part of Ms Giuffre's account of her meeting with him didn't stack up because she claimed that she remembered him sweating a lot.

He said that there was a 'problem' with this account because he had a medical condition at the time as a result of his military career which meant he was unable to sweat.

Ms Giuffre's lawyers, filed by David Boies and Sigrid McCawley, called on Prince Andrew to supply "all documents concerning your alleged medical condition of anhidrosis, hypohidrosis, or your inability to sweat".

However, Prince Andrew's lawyers rejected the request "on the grounds that it is harassing and seeks confidential and private information and documents that are irrelevant, immaterial and not reasonably calculated to lead to the discovery of admissible evidence".

According to reports, his legal team also added that Prince Andrew didn't have any documents in his possession to hand over.

Prince Andrew’s team called Giuffre’s lawsuit ‘baseless’ and have made claims that she actually lives in Australia and not in the USA where the suit has been filed.

However, in that court filing, Giuffre’s team called the attempts to get the lawsuit halted from going to trial a ‘transparent attempt to delay discovery into his own documents and testimony’.

As to the issue of residence, the Giuffre camp claim that she lives in Colorado where her mother lives, and pointed out that she is registered to vote there.

They claim that those facts prove her residence.

This latest development comes after Maxwell was convicted of five of the six counts of sex trafficking she was charged with last week.

The 59-year-old was convicted of conspiracy to entice and transport individuals under 17 with the intent to engage in illegal sexual activity, as well as sex trafficking of individuals under the age of 17 and 18.

The only count she was found not guilty of was 'Enticement of an Individual Under the Age of 17 (Jane only) to Travel with Intent to Engage in Illegal Sexual Activity'.
