FRUITY SUMMER TIPPLES TO TAKE YOUR BBQ TO THE NEXT LEVEL

Oh yes, we’re in the thick of it now – temperatures continue to rise, school’s officially out and the coals on the BBQ are turning grey. 

With BBQ season well and truly under way, it’s time you gave some thought as to how to elevate your outdoor parties, and one sure fire way to blow your guests away is with a unique and delicious drinks offering.

Quite serendipitously, the wonderful folks over at Red Bull have come through at the eleventh hour with a brand new flavour that is sure to delight your guests’ taste buds this summer. 

Introducing the Red Bull Summer Edition Strawberry-Apricot, the latest addition to the Red Bull Summer Edition range which joins other delicious flavours such as Cactus Fruit, Watermelon and Tropical.

This refreshing energy drink comes with all the functional benefits of the standard Red Bull Energy Drink we all know and love but with the taste of juicy strawberry, fruity apricot and a hint of peach.

This fruity number serves as the perfect base for summer mocktails and Red Bull teamed up with drinks maestro @DrinksByEvie to create two bespoke mocktail recipes you can easily recreate at home, leaving your guests wondering when the hell you became such a dab hand behind the bar.

Serves One

Ingredients:

• 90mls freshly squeezed orange juice
• 25mls sweetened condensed milk
• Red Bull Summer Edition Strawberry Apricot

Directions:

1. In a highball glass, add orange juice and sweetened condensed milk. 
2. Froth until fluffy and light in color (or alternatively, add these ingredients to a cocktail shaker and shake without ice). 
3. Fill glass with ice and add Red Bull Summer Edition Strawberry Apricot. 
4. Stir to combine.

Spicy Citrus Refresher

Spicy Citrus Refresher

Serves One

Ingredients:

• 30mls lime juice
• 30mls pineapple juice
• 2 jalapeño slices
• Red Bull Summer Edition Strawberry Apricot
• Chilli powder + salt rim, lime wheel*

Directions: 

1. Prepare the rim of your preferred glass with chilli powder and salt (you can do this by sprinkling equal parts onto a plate or cutting board and mixing it together; run a lime wedge along the rim of your glass and dip the glass into the seasonings). Set aside. 
2. In a cocktail shaker, add lime juice, pineapple juice, jalapeño slices, and muddle with a spoon or mixing stick. Add ice and shake. 
3. Strain into your rimmed glass over fresh ice and top with Red Bull Summer Edition Strawberry Apricot. 
4. Garnish with a lime wheel and an optional extra jalapeño slice.
