Kingston was married to Lady Gabriella Windsor

A statement on behalf of Lady Gabriella Kingston, Mr Martin and Mrs Jill Kingston, Mrs Joanna Connolly and Mrs Emma Murray said: “It is with the deepest sorrow that we announce the death of Thomas Kingston, our beloved husband, son and brother.

“Tom was an exceptional man who lit up the lives of all who knew him. His death has come as a great shock to the whole family and we ask you to respect our privacy as we mourn his passing.”

The King and Queen have sent their 'most heartfelt thoughts and prayers' to Lady Gabriella Kingston and Mr Kingston’s family.

A Buckingham Palace spokesperson said: “The King and the Queen have been informed of Thomas’s death and join Prince and Princess Michael of Kent and all those who knew him in grieving a much-loved member of the family.

“In particular, Their Majesties send their most heartfelt thoughts and prayers to Gabriella and to all the Kingston family.”

Mr Kingston, 45, was found deceased at an address in Gloucestershire on Sunday evening, and emergency services were called to the scene just after 6pm.

Though there were no suspicious circumstances and no other parties involved, an inquest will be held to establish the cause of death.

My Kingston was a Bristol University graduate and financier, and married Lady Gabriella Kingston (née Windsor) on 18 May 2019, having got engaged in September the previous year on the Isle of Sark.

Their wedding was held at St George's Chapel, Windsor Castle, with Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh in attendance.

Mr Kingston made his first-ever appearance at Trooping the Colour in June 2019, an annual parade held to celebrate Queen Elizabeth II's birthday.

While Mr Kingston's wife Lady Gabriella, 42, does not carry out royal duties, she is best known as a freelance writer who contributes to several publications, such as Conde Nast Traveller and The London Magazine.
