It's the dream of many kids around the world to have a superpower but it turns out there are actually eight of them living among us.
While they might not have the abilities of the Avengers or the often brutally disgusting powers shown off in The Boys, these folks have capabilities that most of us average Joes cannot even imagine.
No, I'm not talking about Lionel Messi here, although he has often been described as an alien, and I'm certainly not talking about the folks who eat nothing but kale and green juice.
The popular Instagram page @greatestreactions has paid tribute to eight people with abilities that science cannot explain, including a bloke who can learn languages and solve maths problems at the drop of a hat, to a real-life Magneto.

They wrote: "Some people seem to operate beyond the limits of human biology, exhibiting rare talents or traits that leave scientists puzzled. From mind-bending memory to pain resistance and feats of endurance, these individuals challenge our understanding of what the body and brain are capable of.
"Though science can sometimes offer partial explanations—genetics, neural wiring, or psychological conditioning—many of these cases remain outliers, resisting full classification. Whether anomalies or evolutionary previews, they remind us just how much we still have to learn about ourselves."
Included in the post are Slavisa Pajkic, Raj Mohah Nair, Liew Thow Lin, Stephen Wiltshire, Isao Machii, Daniel Tammet, Wim Hof and Ben Underwood.

Daniel Browning Smith, a man who boasts seven Guinness World Records for a fascinating level of flexibility that Pedro Pascal's Mr Incredible would be jealous of, doesn't even make this list, such are the incredible skills of the eight super-humans.
Pajkic stores and emits electric charges, even starring in his own film Battery Man, and showed of his talents on France's Got Talent back in 2015.
Nair meanwhile, is somehow unaffected by high voltage electricity, although fortunately he's not able to shoot off lightning bolts like the bloke from Spiderman.
Lin is remarkably able to attract metal objects to his skin, and I'm not just talking about the people that are able to stick a spoon to their nose, as he's got some serious Magneto-level skills.
Wiltshire is perhaps the coolest of the lot, as he is able to draw entire cities from memory after just one look, and he's got some pretty impressive artistic skills as well.

Machii was clearly a fan of the old app Fruit Ninja, as he's able to slice those fruits even quicker than I could back in Year Seven, something that has made him a renowed martial arts expert.
Tammet is able to solve complex maths problems almost instantly and can memorise languages instantly, which probably made his GCSE's a walk in the park.
Hof can control his own body temperature and survive extreme cold, putting all the lads who take ice baths every day to shame.

And finally, Underwood has developed the ability to use echolocation to see, despite being completely blind.
If the world is ever in trouble, you'd imagine that some of these folks will be getting a call, although whether their abilities can fight off aliens remains to be seen.
