During a daring stunt at high altitude, base-jumper Uli Emanuele horrifically crashed into rocks before he could reach for his parachute with the whole event caught on camera.

He jumped, while in the Dolomite, a mountain range in north east Italy, reports the Sun. He was said to be filming the jump for US action camera make GoPro, the tragic event occurred on Wednesday.

Hours before his death, the 29-year-old had taken to Facebook and wrote: "8pm, sunset in Dolomites at 3,100 metres. Ready to open a new jump."
Despite completing more than 60 successful jumps this year, each time trying to search for fresh terrain flight lines, Emanuele landed a wide fan base when he soared through narrow cervices of Swiss Lauterbrunnen mountains.
The South Tyrolean's management confirmed the lad's death and reported that the lad had been filming a new video of one of his base jumps at the time.
