Jose Mourinho Has Shaved His Head And Gone Fully Bald

Jose Mourinho Has Shaved His Head And Gone Fully Bald

Spurs manager Jose Mourinho has decided to undergo a bit of a makeover during his brief winter break, with new pictures showing that he's had a bit of a trim.

In fact, he's had a lot of a trim, with the Portuguese manager shaving off his silver locks and going for a bit of a skinhead.

He even had chance to pose for a picture with his barber.

He's been known to switch it up, getting the occasional buzz-cut, but he's gone the whole hog and gone full Pep Guardioloa.

The funny thing about the whole that Mourinho famously ripped into Pep for losing his hair, putting it down to him not enjoying his job as a manager.

In 2014, he told BILD: "If you enjoy what you're doing, you don't lose your hair. He's got a bald head. Guardiola doesn't enjoy football."

When he sported a new trim at a press conference during the 2014/15 season, Mourinho denied that his thinner hair was down to the stress that comes with football.

"I promise you I am fine - but I am not happy. I am not used to losing so many times but I am adapting to the challenge," he said, speaking to the Belgravia Centre.

"My haircut isn't as radical as it has been... the war haircut is shorter than this one."

And, it's a well reported side effect of having potentially one of the highest pressure jobs in the world.

Recently, United legend Ryan Giggs revealed that he underwent a hair transplant due to the stresses of playing for the Red Devils.

"Football is stressful," Giggs told staff at MHR Clinic, which he has a share in, as per The Mirror.

"You put yourself under pressure. You're aware of the consequences if you lose a game or don't play well.

"You are under the spotlight and if you have a bad game you're aware of the criticism. Then it becomes a little bit more stressful. And stress is related to hair loss."

But there is some truth in it - researchers looking into extensive working and hair loss have decided that stress does actually cause a change in hormone levels in certain areas of the body, including the scalp. That all makes sense then, Jose.
