Sure, we’re gearing up for the Paralympics, we’ve had the Olympics, we’ve had Wimbledon, the Euros have been and gone, but there’s still one name that’s been one of the biggest in sport this year.

The absolute lad, Luke Littler of course.

Quickly becoming a household name right before the year began, the teen legend has been rocking the darts world with his impressive skills at such a young age.

However, someone nearly a decade younger has given him a taste of his own medicine as fans were shocked to see Littler beaten by an eight-year-old plucked from the crowd.

The Premier League Darts champ was taking part in Summer Showdown darts exhibition in Cardiff when young Noah was selected to go up and play against him.

The fan from Northampton then had everyone stunned as he defeated the Nuke 1-0 with a score of 90 on his final throws.

And it seemed like he couldn’t really believe it either as when the BBC asked if his year could get any better now he said: “Not really, no.”

It turns out it’s not a total fluke either, the little lad's a bit of a young prodigy himself, training for 16 hours a week and preparing to start throwing arrows for Buckinghamshire County next week.

"It's been a very, very exciting weekend. It was amazing, absolutely amazing," said his mum, Helen. "It's been an incredible year, he's loving every minute of it."

She also added that Littler gave Noah some flights for his darts as a little souvenir after beating him on stage.

Helen said: “He was an absolute gentlemen, he was so, so lovely.”

Of course, over on X, fans were amazed to hear Noah is just eight as they gave their congrats.

And many wrote: “They just get littler and littler.”

“Luke Littlest,” one echoed as another joked: “There’s always a littler Littler.”

With plenty agreeing: “Luke Littler-er.”

Others posted: “A future champion in the making – cue the sponsors!”

Amazed, one wrote: “I thought Littler was supposed to be the prodigy.”

Littler shared snaps to Instagram and X, writing: “Class Cardiff crowd for the summer showdown! Cheers to everyone who came down great meeting so many of you.”

As fans wouldn’t let him forget: “That 90 checkout by the kid was class.”

And Helen responded: “You made Noah’s dreams come true and you were so lovely with him. Thank you so much! A night that we will never forget”

Well, watch your back Littler, there’s a littler champ on the way.
