After we all set our alarms to watch the most-hyped fight of the year, it's safe to say that it was even more of a letdown than we thought it would be.

Iron Mike, being 58 year's of age, understandably gassed out after the first round and it quickly became an exhibition match when he stopped throwing punches at Jake Paul.

But before we start talking about how it was 'an unfair matchup' and 'not a real boxing match', it was clearly something both fighters were willing to do. After all, money talks.

Post-match, the boxing legend said he had 'no regrets' about getting into the ring for 'one last time'.

Across his social media pages, Tyson revealed that he 'almost died' in June, writing: “This is one of those situations when you lost but still won. I’m grateful for last night. No regrets to get in the ring one last time.

“I almost died in June. Had eight blood transfusions. Lost half my blood and 25lbs in hospital and had to fight to get healthy to fight, so I won.

“To have my children see me stand toe-to-toe and finish eight rounds with a talented fighter half my age in front of a packed Dallas Cowboy stadium is an experience that no man has the right to ask for. Thank you.”

Meanwhile, Paul admitted that he was reluctant to knock Tyson out because of the love he has for the fight legend.

In a press conference, he said: "I wanted to give the fans a show but I didn't want to hurt someone that didn't need to be hurt.

"There was a point where he (Tyson) was not engaging back, I could just tell his age was showing a little bit.

"That violence war thing... that went away as the rounds went on.

"People just love to hate me. I intentionally say things for people to hate.

"That's what I like to do. If people want to see more... give me a couple of months.

"I tried to give the best fight I possibly could.

"When someone's just surviving in the ring, it's hard to make it exciting.

"I don't care what people have to say. It is what it is."

Taking to his podcast BS w/ Jake Paul, he added: "I'm sorry I didn't knock him out.

"After I'd seen him tired I didn't want to put too much hurt on him, but I wanted the fans to get a good experience.

"But there was a point where my aggression and violence went away when I wasn't getting hit. I love Mike."
