What you get for £2.4 million suite at this year's Super Bowl as big-spenders make one specific request

That's one expensive seat to watch a ball get thrown around

With plenty of people booking Monday (10 February) off work in preparation, this week marks the big match. Sorry, I should say big game.

Well, for those who watch American Football anyway as the Super Bowl returns again.

While it’s argued it’s all about the sport, for some it’s about other things – the halftime show (this year it’s Kendrick Lamar with SZA), the snacks and the networking, apparently.

But it doesn’t come cheap for those who swap out watching it on the sofa at home to be in the stadium in New Orleans and especially not for those splashing out on a $3 million £2.4 million) suite. And with money like that being thrown around, big spenders are making one specific request.

For that cool price, the wealthy spectators get themselves a deluxe, 50-year-line suite at Caesars Superdome, accommodating 45 guests.

Taking game day snacks to the next level, they’ll have a special catered menu available of Big Easy bites such as muffuletta and po’boy sandwiches, gumbo and crab claws.

Plus, they’ll have access to top shelf drinks like Johnnie Walker Black Label and Don Julio tequila.

Managing director at luxury event concierge service Confirmed360, Simon David told New York Post ‘demand for suites has surged’ as he described the ‘high-end’ suites, including ‘live chef stations and premium cocktail service’.

But while he sees more and more clients willing to spend millions on seats, it’s not necessarily their positioning for the field that matters and more their positioning among other spectators.

“Many are requesting placement near influential figures, with a growing interest in being close to high-profile personalities like Jeff Bezos and other business leaders,” he claimed. “For these clients, it’s no longer just about watching the game — it’s about being in the orbit of power players who are also attending.”

The Super Bowl tends to be a pretty star-studded affair with the likes of Beyoncé, Jason Sudeikis, Ariana Grande, Paul Rudd and Brad Pitt in attendance last year. With her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, obviously on the field playing for the Kansas Chiefs, Taylor Swift is of course set to be in attendance again.

Plus, it’s expected Donald Trump will be showing up this year, making him the first sitting commander-in-chief to attend the Super Bowl.

So, it’s fair to say those paying for these pricey suites will be rubbing shoulders with some big, varied, names.
