Fans are shocked after hearing Tyson Fury’s ‘original voice’ in a resurfaced clip prior to the injury that caused his voice to change permanently.
The 35-year-old heavyweight - who is set to clash with former UFC champion Francis Ngannou tomorrow (28 October) - has a distinctive husky voice.
But that wasn’t always the case and it’s all down to his career choice. You’re probably familiar with how Fury sounds now, but this is what he used to sound like:
The change in his voice came about after he was punched in the throat while sparring ‘one of his good pals’ while training. Ouch.

In an interview with Hits Radio, Fury explained: "It ended up getting a blood clot in my throat, and ever since then, I now sound like my dad.” He really does, to be fair.
Sharing more details about his changing voice back in 2021 on the YouTube series The MMA Hour with Ariel Helwani, he said: "It wasn't always like this though, this isn't my original voice.
"If you go back and look at interviews from like 2010 onwards right up until about 2016, I didn't have this voice.

"One of my good friends, Ty Mitchell... We were sparring and he hit me in the throat real hard and I developed a blood clot in my throat.
"It messed around with my vocal words so this is why I talk like this now... Some would say it's quite sexy, I've been told."
In a resurfaced clip from his younger years, Fury can be seen talking about how he’s ‘happy and settled’ with his life now meaning he can focus on boxing.
He tells the interviewer: “I’ve got my wife and kids and that. I’m settled down.

"I’m not looking for women, going out, boozing and all that. So that helps as well.
“And I know what I’ve got to do. I’m in this gym training; I’m out there, sleeping, eating, and then I’m back in the gym training. There’s nothing that’s going to knock me off course now.”
Fans were left shocked after watching the clip, with one person saying: “Oh wow yeah I noticed he does have a raspy voice now compared to him in this vid. Sounds smoother.”

Another said: “He sounds so croaky now.”
While a third wrote: "His voice used to be like a child but he got hit in the throat during sparring and then it went deep like his dad's.”
