In 2022 Blair was appointed as a Knight Companion of the Most Noble Order of the Garter by the Queen.

The former Prime Minister also continues to hold influence in the political world outside of his charity work.
During the 2014 Scottish referendum, Blair was a vocal and influential proponent of the successful “no” campaign i.e. pro-union. However, during the 2016 Brexit campaign he unsuccessfully campaigned for “remain”, and has continued to make clear he feels Britain leaving the EU was a mistake.
