Elizabeth Olsen's Facial Expressions In WandaVision Are Stealing The Show

It feels like an age since Marvel announced that WandaVision would be hitting our screens.

The series picks up after the events of Avengers: Endgame, and follows Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany, who reprise their roles as Wanda Maximoff - aka Scarlet Witch - and Vision.

But while you'd expect people to be discussing the nuances of the plot and trying to figure out what is gong on, fans have been most struck by the faces being pulled by Olsen.

Sharing some screengrabs from the show, one fan wrote: "Elizabeth Olsen's facial expressions are SO GOOD!"

Another said: "Elizabeth Olsen's facial expressions (crying laughter emoji)."

"It's Elizabeth Olsen's incredible expressions for us," chimed a third.

While yet another praised the actor, writing: "... An appreciation tweet for Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff because she is extremely talented, her facial expressions are something wonderful and she deserves the whole world."

The official synopsis for the series reads: "The series is a blend of classic television and the Marvel Cinematic Universe in which Wanda Maximoff and Vision-two super-powered beings living idealized suburban lives-begin to suspect that everything is not as it seems."

And while it's been quite a light-hearted jaunt thus far, minus some darker parts, Bettany and Olson have warned that this won't last.

Speaking to Digital Spy, Olsen said there's a 'shift' coming, and fans should be prepared for it.

She told the publication: "When we started filming this show, we had all nine scripts, so I didn't have to not really know what was going on ever. It was very specific.

"I think the reason why they show the press the first episodes is because Episode 4 is quite a shift. It's a really fun perspective swap and I think a lot gets understood at that moment."

She also discussed the idea of the 'villain' of the series, which has left some scratching their heads.

Olson added: "In superhero movies, you usually know who the villain is. Or you know when they're coming into the timing of the film; you know when they're going to show themselves.

"In WandaVision, you don't know who the villain is or if there is a villain, so I think the real drama and tension is the constant tug and pull between the sitcom universe and the Marvel universe - and what was fun... what was really fun was uncovering how much we peel back in every episode."
