Kurt Sutter, creator of cult crime series Sons of Anarchy has revealed that he wants to make a sequel to the show called Sam Crow - focussing on Jax's son, Abel.

Obviously making the most of his time in lockdown - much to the appreciation of fans - he has been spending his spare time engaging with fans on social media.

Many have asked questions about the show, which has an impressive 8.6 out of 10 on IMDb, but one of the most interesting revelations came when he was asked about what happened to Abel - the son of protagonist Jax Teller (portrayed in SoA by Charlie Hunnam).

He replied on Facebook initially, but reposted it on Twitter to share the news.

The question read: "How, in your mind, will Abel's destiny play out?"

Underneath, the creator of the show replied: "I had this revelation between SoA and [follow-up show] Mayans, that the SoA mythology would be four shows. Sons of Anarchy, Mayans M.C., First Nine and Sam Crow.

"First Nine would be a limited series. Nine episodes. It would end before we began to tread on history we created in Sons. Sam Crow would be the fate of Wendi, Nero, Abel and Thomas."

However, Sutter was unable to confirm whether Sam Crow would be likely to make it to our screens.

He continued: "I can't discuss my current situation with Fox, so right now I can't comment on the reality of any of this happening."

Still, fans were absolutely made up with the news.

One person replied: "I always figured Abel getting the SoA ring from Gemma left the door open for a spin-off down the road. I'd watch it!"

Another commented: "Please. Make this happen. Oh please. Like I want to know if Abel followed in his dad's footsteps or what."

Jax's son Abel could potentially be the lead character in a Sons of Anarchy spin-off.

Others came up with potential plots, with one tweeting: "The ring Gemma gave Abel will drag him back to the Mayhem I think, that and the trauma he's already witnessed combine to create a psychopath, Thomas, having been too young to remember will live a life away from the Mayhem and will have a very fractious relationship with his bro."

Someone else posted: "Abel becomes a cop or a lawyer. Something on the other side of things!! Life happens and he gets in touch with his... genes! A strong female presence is a must!"

Of course, nothing is set in stone, but it looks like the brains behind the operation definitely has more of the story to tell.
