Dad Gets Mate To Squirt Him In The Eyes With Pepper Spray

The prankster said he didn't think it would hurt as much...he was wrong

There is a very good reason the police use pepper spray to take down suspects, and that is because it really, really stings.

But it appears that one cheeky prankster didn't quite get the message. So, to test his theory, he got his mate to squirt some of the stuff directly into his eyes. Foolproof plan.

Now, you will probably not be surprised to hear that said joker was very much mistaken, and it hurt like an absolute b****.

Self-confessed idiot Stephen Smith thought he'd blinded himself after he pulled the stunt using £3 spray he bought online from China.

After getting an unnamed pal to squirt it in his face, dad-of-three Steven turned the spray on his mate - before they both doubled over in agony.

The postman from Widnes, Cheshire, said the pair couldn't breathe properly or open their eyes for 20 minutes.

Asked why did did it, the 40-year-old said he thought it "wouldn't be that bad" but admitted it was "the worst pain I've ever felt".

Speaking about the rather ill-advised folly, Stephen said: "It felt like I had lava in my eyes and I couldn't breathe.

"My eyes just wouldn't open at all. I couldn't see for about 20 minutes. I've never felt pain like it. I started to panic and began to think I had made a massive mistake.

"I regretted it immediately. I got it from China and realised I could be putting anything in my eyes."

Stephen said he bought the pepper spray online and that it was advertised as "police strength lipstick pepper spray".

According to the dad, it was shaped like a lipstick tube and is marketed towards women in the product listing.

The website he bought the spray from claims more than 1,000 of the products have been purchased.

Once the item arrived at his house on 5 October, Steven wasted no time in testing it out on himself - filming the whole thing, obviously.

Looking back at the prank, Stephen said: "I thought it'd be a laugh and the pain would be over in a couple of minutes. My eyes were burning with pain. There's no way I'd do it again.

"It just shows why it's such an effective weapon. It will have someone on the floor for a good 15 minutes.

"There's no getting away from the pain."
