A recent study has found that Glasgow is the most potty-mouthed city in the UK - with the most popular swear word being 'f***'.
Digital PR experts at Reboot hopped onto Reddit to find out how many times profanities were used online, examining the UK's most populated cities' subreddits to work out who swore the most.
Glasgow came out on top with an impressive average of 109 swears per 1,000 comments in the r/Glasgow subreddit.

Reboot said: "With 52,100 members and nearly 516,000 comments, r/Glasgow averages an impressive 109 swears per 1,000 comments.
"Glasgow's favourite swear word is f***, with 53 mentions of the word per 1,000 comments. The second most prevalent swear word for Glaswegians is s***, with an average of 33 comments per 1,000 containing the word.
"Glasgow's least used swear words are t***, b****, and b*****ks, both averaging less than one mention per 1,000 comments."
Coming in at second place was Liverpool, averaging 65 swear words per 1,000 comments - with Scousers also preferring the F-word as their favourite swear.

Edinburgh came third - the second Scottish city in the top three - with an average of 58 swear words per 1,000 comments, followed by London (58 swear words per 1,000 comments) and Manchester (57 swear words per 1,000).
Interesting, the research found that 'f***' was the favourite swear word for residents of those three spots as well, while 'b****' and 'w*****' proved the least popular.
But not all UK cities are quite as swear-heavy as Glasgow and its runners-up.
Sheffield was found to be the city that is the least profane, with an average of just 35 swears per 1,000 comments on its subreddit, which has 32,200 members and more than 69,000 comments.

Reboot said: "Sheffield's favourite swear is s*** with an average of 14 mentions per 1,000 comments, followed closely by f*** with 13. Their least used swear words are b****, b*****ks, t***, and w*****, with each swear averaging less than one mention per 1,000 comments."
The research found that Nottingham was the second-least foul-mouthed, with an average of 37 swear per 1,000 comments, followed by Cardiff (39 swears per 1,000 comments), Southampton (39 swears per 1,000 comments) and Birmingham (40 swear words per 1,000 comments).
After analysing a total of 4.5 million comments and 271,000 swear words across each city's subreddit, the study found 'f***' to be the most popular, followed by 's***', 'c**p', 'c**t' and 'bulls***'.

Reboot explained: "Accounting for a whopping 40% of all swear words analysed is f***, and can be crowned the UK's favourite swear word. Coming in second is s***, making up over one third (38%) of our online swearing. Interestingly, f*** and s*** make up 78% of the total swear words used across each UK city!
"On the other hand, the swear word used the least is b**** and w*****, which only accounts for 1.4% of the total profanities analysed. Following closely behind are b*****ks and t*** with a share of 1.5% each."
