Glasgow Pub Delivering Freshly Poured Pints To Regulars In Lockdown

We can all drink to that!

A pub in Glasgow is delivering free pints to their beloved regulars to prove to them that they are being missed whilst we're all being asked to stay inside during the coronavirus lockdown.

The owners of The Bay Horse wanted to spread a bit of good will and put 'a wee smile on their faces' during what is a pretty challenging time for all of us.

As we're all being asked to stay inside in order to stop the spread of the virus, we're all denied the simple pleasure of a lovely cold pint of draught beer in our favourite pub.

However, The Bay Horse has decided that even if we can't physically be together with our friends in our favourite watering hole, a few of their cherished regulars can get a nice pint, poured properly, and with love.

They're doing so in full compliance with the government's current rules on social distancing, and have ensured that there is no physical contact during the drop-off, and they have been leaving the drinks at a safe distance away from people.

Oh, and the staff delivering the pints are wearing gloves and masks in order to completely make sure that the virus isn't being passed and everyone is safe.

To put in an order, the regulars have been messaging the pub on Facebook with their details, and those who do can also add in the addresses of others without Facebook so that they aren't missing out.

After the first deliveries, the staff shared a collage of their happy customers with their free pints. It's been a complete success, it's fair to say.

They wrote: "Good day today delivering some FREE pints to our regular customers, was good to see them and put a wee smile on their faces even if it was from a distance. Missing you all.

"Social distance in place along with gloves and masks to keep everyone safe.

"Sorry if we didn't get to you today we may do another day so watch our page."

Since they shared the post, it has been inundated with shares, likes, and comments from people who are either expressing their thanks, lauding their generosity, or asking their favourite establishments to get involved.

One person commented: "That's a lovely thing to do. Very thoughtful."

It sure is.

Another person - who seems to have been a beneficiary of this service - added: "Well done. Enjoyed the pints. Thanks again. Stay safe."

Can't argue with that - stay safe out there, everyone.
