A man has pleaded guilty to having sex with chickens, while his wife filmed it.

Rehan Baig, 37, appeared in Bradford Crown Court alongside his wife Haleema, also 37, yesterday (Friday 31 July).

At the hearing, Mr Baig pleaded guilty to a total of 11 charges, including three of performing an act of penetration on chickens, Yorkshire Live reports.

He also admitted to downloading indecent images of children, possession of extreme pornographic images relating to sex acts with dogs and chickens and drugs offences.

His wife had previously admitted to three charges of 'aiding and abetting intercourse with an animal'.

Prosecutor Abigail Langford told Judge Jonathan Gibson: "Mrs Baig accepts filming her husband Rehan Baig having sexual intercourse with a chicken."

Mr Baig's solicitor advocate Nick Leadbeater said his client had accepted that he had committed the vile sexual acts, but was unable to say exactly when.

He asked for the sentencing hearing to be adjourned so that a pre-sentencing report, as well as a psychiatric report, could be obtained for his client.

The court was told there would need to be enquiries about whether the three acts were carried out on the same day or over separate days as this may impact sentencing.

Langford added: "The court may take the view that if these are acts that have taken place on more than one day that would make a difference in terms of sentencing.

"Both defendants assert it was sexual intercourse which took place on one day with these animals and that it was filmed on one day."

Mrs Baig has pleaded not guilty to other charges relating to the extreme pornographic images and drugs.

Langford said the prosecution would consider whether her pleas were acceptable.

The couple has been released on bail until their sentencing hearing on 25 September.
