There are plans in place to rescue a British woman who has been stuck living on the streets in Peru after she became the victim of a robbery.
Hannah Almond, 32, has been stuck in the South American country since last month after she was reportedly robbed of her money and belongings, including her passport, and they were burned.
The Grimsby woman had arrived in Peru for a yoga retreat but ended up sleeping rough on the streets of Cusco, with a family friend telling The Daily Mail that she had been sporadically contacting her mum 'through other people's phones'.

Mark Atkinson, the British consul in Peru, said that they were working with local police to offer Hannah support and accommodation in a hotel as well as provide her money for food, but she keeps returning to a camp under Belén Bridge.
The Daily Mail reports that she was found on the streets of Cusco by a Peruvian man who'd flown to the city and started looking for her, but that she refused assistance after he found her.

They add that one of Hannah's friends from the UK has now made the journey out to try and bring her home.
Her friends have set up a GoFundMe, which can be donated to here, saying in an update they hope one of her friends going out there to find her will 'persuade her to accept support and come home'.

They said: "We know she has been refusing help due to the complexity of her mental health so it is most likely that she will need to placed into psychiatric care before getting a flight back.
"This is an ongoing process but we are doing all we can to bring her back safely!"
A friend of Hannah's told the Mail it was 'a huge relief that she has been found' as they were 'worried she had been trafficked and we would never hear from her again'.

The 32-year-old's friends have described her as 'one of the most pure loving souls' and as someone who is 'very generous and always wants to help people'.

However, they added that she now 'does not trust anyone after getting robbed and assaulted' seemingly apart from an elderly homeless man who also lives in the camp underneath Belén Bridge.
The GoFundMe, which has almost hit its target, hopes to pay for any emergency medical and psychological care the 32-year-old may need before she is well enough to travel back to the UK.
The organisers have said that any money they have left over after the cost of her care and travel has been dealt with will be paid towards a mental health charity.
A FCDO Spokesperson said in a statement to LADbible: “We have been providing support to a British woman in Peru and are in contact with her family and the local authorities.”
