Scotland Police are continuing the search for two identical sisters reported missing in Aberdeen.

The family of Eliza and Henrietta Huszti, who belong to a set of triplets, are 'extremely worried' after the pair were last seen at Market Street at Victoria Bridge at about 02:12, on Tuesday (7 January).

Police have since launched a land, air and water search for the twins, 32, so far looking through the Port of Aberdeen's South Harbour and Duthie Park areas.

The siblings were last spotted on CCTV cameras heading to in the direction of the Aberdeen Boat Club.

Divers have searched part of the River Dee, close to where Eliza and Henrietta were, and have found nothing.

The concerned family issued a statement to friends and family earlier this week, which has been translated by the BBC.

Confirming that the sisters have gone missing, it added: "Therefore, we kindly ask everyone for respect.

Edit Huszti, the other triplet, said she spoke to girls on New Year's Eve where they seemed cheerful and like their normal selves.

Their brother Jozsef told the outlet that the mother was in contact with them last Saturday.

Chief Inspector Darren Bruce said: “Extensive enquiries are ongoing to trace Eliza and Henrietta and searches are being carried out in and around the area where they were last seen.
