The grandmother of 21-year-old Isabella Daggett, who is currently being held behind bars in a Dubai prison, has revealed she gave her granddaughter a stern warning before she flew out to the Middle Eastern country.
Isabella, from Leeds, is currently detained in the Gulf state after being allegedly arrested on drugs charges.
Her grandmother Heather Smith has now spoken to the MailOnline in a bid to raise awareness about her situation, revealing that Isabella has only just received a court date after being incarcerated since March.

"Bella has been locked up because she was in the wrong company. Wrong place, wrong time. Wrong boyfriend," Heather explained. "All I know is that she rang me a week before all this happened and said that she wasn't happy and she knew something wasn't right."
She also revealed the family aren't completely sure about the exact charges that Isabella is facing, but believes it to be 'possession of something'.

"I don't know the whole thing. I'm not sure what charges she has been arrested for, only possession of something - probably drugs," she said. "But I don't know for certain."
The Yorkshire grandmother explained that recruitment consultant Isabella had decided to move to the UAE earlier in the year after receiving a job offer, adding that she'd given her 'stern warning' about looking after herself out there.

"We told Bella before she went to Dubai 'you know the rules in Dubai, play by the rules, don't flaunt this, don't do that," she said.
"But there was a whole sequence of events that led up to her, inadvertently, being in this bloke's house, where she didn't want to be. She didn't really like him that much.
"He may be guilty of something, but she isn't."
The family are now trying to raise money to support the 21-year-old, with Heather saying her granddaughter is currently dealing with harsh prison conditions.

"Women get treated far worse than male prisoners," Heather claimed. "Bella has nothing."
She continued: "She hasn't had a shower for a month, she hasn't had a change of clothes for three months. She has had nothing.
"She can speak to me and her mum every day though, which is good. But we have been in bits."
A Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office spokesman told LADbible: “We are supporting the family of a British national who has been arrested in the United Arab Emirates and are in contact with the local authorities.”
Isabella's story mirrors the recent cases of Bella May Culley and Charlotte May Lee, who are currently detained in Georgia and Sri Lanka respectively, after being accused of smuggling offences.
