The last person to see Jay Slater alive has revealed what happened before the teenager's disappearance.
Jay, 19, vanished on 17 June, 2024, when he went on holiday with some mates in Tenerife to attend the NRG Music Festival.
But once the music event wrapped up, the Lancashire-born bricklayer chose to travel back to a rental property in the mountain village of Masca, the other end of the island to where he was staying with friends.
The Brit made his way to the property with two men named Ayub Qassim and Steven Roccas, where he stayed overnight before leaving the next day.

He attempted to walk back to his hotel located in Los Cristianos, an hours-long walk in the heat, before going missing.
After a massive search mission and with the case receiving plenty of attention on social media, his body was found a month later, with the cause of death announced as traumatic head injuries consistent with a fall from height.

His family's GoFundMe managed to raise over £70,000, which was used in the search for Jay's body while covering the family's stay in Tenerife as they looked for answers.
An inquest was scheduled for May this year, but it was postponed as his friends 'couldn't be found' to give evidence, but the court has now heard from close friends Bradley Hargreaves and Lucy Law, as well as Ayub Qassim, the last person to see Jay alive.

When they got back to the Airbnb, Ayub said that Jay asked him for a charger.
Speaking to the inquest, he explained: "I said go and get it in Rocky’s room.
"He has gone in there and grabbed the charger from the side of his bed and stuck it in the kitchen."
Ayub said the teen was charging his phone in the kitchen, and he went up to get him a blanket and a towel, before telling him he could sleep on the sofa.
"He asked for a fag (cigarette) and I left my deck downstairs. I said goodnight and went upstairs," he added.

Ayub recalled that he did not go to sleep as soon as he went up, and woke up to a 'buzzing sound' from the door after about 'an hour of sleep', as a woman and two men asked him to move his car after he parked it in front of a small van.

When he got downstairs, he saw Jay standing there - the teenager would even talk to the woman before Ayub went back up, as he recalled that he probably wasn't sleeping as the teen was 'still on things and buzzing'.
“Those kind of things stop you from going to sleep unless you take a sleeping pill or smoke a bit of cannabis,” Ayub pointed out.
The host even claimed to have told Jay to go back to his apartment on a bus, though explained that 'it's not one of those places where the bus comes every five to 10 minutes'.

Jay then claimed that the woman told him a bus was 'coming in 10 minutes'.
Ayub told him he would drop him off later, but this would never happen.
He also confirmed that Jay had never 'stolen' his Rolex earlier in the inquest.
