The mum of a woman who was shot dead in America has said the alleged killer won't face criminal charges.
Manchester graduate Lucy Harrison was shockingly shot dead at her father's home in Texas on 10 January.
Lucy, 23, was visiting her dad, Kris Harrison, who lives in Prosper, and is said to have family in Southport.

An autopsy report found that she had been 'fatally shot with a firearm' before she was pronounced dead at the Baylor Scott and White Medical Centre.
According to the Daily Mail, one suspect and five witnesses were identified, however, a spokesperson for Prosper Police Department told the Liverpool Echo that the case had gone through with 'no prosecution'.
Her mum, Jane Coates, said the Grand Jury found that the evidence did not meet the threshold for criminal proceedings.
“On June 10, exactly five months after my daughter was shot and killed in America, the Grand Jury sat and reviewed Lucy’s case,” Jane told the Warrington Guardian.

“They concluded that the evidence did not meet the threshold for criminal charges, meaning that, as far as they are concerned, there will be no criminal charges for the person who shot Lucy.
“Although we have tried so hard to prepare for this moment, it is a brutal outcome to accept.”
She added: “It is baffling and beyond comprehension to us, our families and friends, that there is to be no accountability for what happened to my daughter.
“The international element, coupled with a different legal system, practice, and thresholds, makes the outcome even harder and more frustrating to accept.”
In a tribute shared by Cheshire Police, Jane described her late daughter as someone who was 'truly thriving in life' and 'had a huge capacity to love and be loved'.

She revealed that Lucy and her partner had just moved into their first home in Great Sankey last year.
Jane added: "When the time is right, I would welcome learning more from communities and groups in Texas who are working to prevent gun deaths through education, partnerships, and policy change.
"I know that Lucy would be a fierce advocate of this.
"I miss her infectious belly laughs, her constant chatter about her dream job at Boohoo in Manchester, her requests to tickle her legs, travel plans, her tears - and there were many."

An inquest hearing is set to take place at Cheshire Coroner's Court on 29 October.
The family have called for donations to be made to Peace and Mind UK, a charity based in Lucy's hometown, founded in memory of murdered teen Brianna Ghey.
